Help! I’m In Health Debt!
The best indicator that you have burned through your health savings is an overall lack of thriving in life. The lack of energy to pursue your passions in life with intensity is THE sign of health debt.
In addition there are some “diseases” and symptoms that are very common when your body starts sacrificing health in some areas to compensate for others:
- Chronic Fatigue
- When you produce less energy in a day than you use you “dip” into your savings account. If you are constantly running on empty then you have run through your savings.
- Infertility
- Getting pregnant and carrying a healthy baby to full term requires a LOT of energy. Frequent miscarriages or difficulty getting pregnant is often a sign that 1 or both partners are running on empty.
- Early or Noticeably Uncomfortable Menopause
- Menopause is a normal and healthy phase of a womans life. It is when her body decides to stop wasting resources on staying fertile and starts using those resources to heal her own body. If this phase begins early in life or the symptoms are severe this is often a sign that the bank is broke.
- Sexual Function Especially In Men
- In Traditional Chinese Medicine the assumption is that a man should be sexually active throughout his whole life with a decline in frequency as he ages. Problems with performance in the 40s and 50s are a good sign that the money has run out.
- Autoimmune Issues
- In TCM problems with an “overactive” immune system is actually due to a “weak” immune system. It’s like over-reacting to a simple question when your under a ton of stress. The system is on over-drive trying to keep up.
- Seasonal Allergies and Asthma
- For the same reason as above.
- Frequently Catching a Cold or Flu
- In TCM your immune system is very dependent on your “savings.” When you are drained and exhausted you are less likely to fight off anything you are exposed to. This is why it is so important to rest and take good care of yourself during the cold and flu seasons.
- Poor Memory
- Memory loss especially in older life is often a direct sign of “health debt.”
